Published 01:00 on 3 May 2025
The Club will be celebrating the 80th anniversary of VE Day in true 1940s style on Bank Holiday Monday 5th May. The programme is as follows:
2.30pm - We will be selling tea and a selection of home made cake (free for veterans and emergency service workers). The John Seeley duo will be playing 1940s music
4.30 pm - A Beetle Drive for all to have some vintage fun.
6.00 pm - A sing-a-long with John Rogers who will be handing out song sheets of 1940s songs and accompanying us on his guitar.
- Please feel free to dress up in 1940s style.
- We will be collecting for the Royal British Legion.
Please do come along to support what promises to be a most enjoyable event to celebrate this very significant anniversary.
I hope you'll be there to join us.
