    Maldon Town Regatta

Maldon Town Regatta 2021 is will take place on Saturday 25th September.

Maldon Town Regatta has been held for generations and in its present form since 2002. Smacks and old gaffers, traditional and modern yachts race up river from West Mersea to Osea and from there to the town in a second race, berthing at high water. There are usually many shoreside activities and stalls all day, with live music during the evening. Unfortunately this year we were not able to organise the shoreside event due to the changing Covid19 situation but we hope to have this back in 2022.

Funded by charitable donations, the lifeboat crews and lifeguards of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution have saved at least 140,000 lives at sea since 1824. The Club is a strong supporter of the RNLI, holding several events throughout the year to raise funds, culminating in our Annual Sponsored Row and Gig Race. The 2019 Event raising over £9000-00. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 restrictions the 2020 event was cancelled but we are pleased to confirm that the next RNLI Sponsored Row and Gig Race will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 3rd January 2022. Check out the Gallery for some great photos of the 2019 event.
