- Fri 9th January - Open Mic - CANCELLED
- Burns Night supper on Saturday 24th January, 7.30 for 8.00pm.There will be haggis, neeps, tatties, homemade desserts and a wee dram of whisky. There will also be bagpipes and a raffle. After the supper there will be a singalong with live music. Wear something tartan. If you would like to book a place send an email to club.social.mlsc@gmail.com . Please state if you require the vegetarian option. Members £20 per person, Non-members £25 per person. If you would like to donate a raffle prize, please leave it on the Upper Deck of the clubhouse.

One of our aims is to reconnect with the local waters and widen the types of craft that the club embraces, I am pleased to let you know that Vikky Tiffin has offered to lead the setting up of a Club paddleboard/kayak/dinghy group initially to cruise on the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation. As a qualified pilot for the canal company's pleasure boats Vikky is very experienced with working on the canal.
