The Maldon Little Ship Club (MLSC) exists to encourage an interest in all activities associated with the water, sailing is, however, our main interest.
A Sailing Programme is organised each year for those who wish to sail in company - both power and sailing boats are welcome. The programme includes weekend and short trips, often culminating in a meal at another sailing club or at a pub or just partying at a mooring. We have barbecues and family days and longer cruises in the Summer. Weather and Tide permitting we may even have a Cricket Match on the Buxey Sand. In Winter we have a Christmas Cruise combined with a Christmas Party. Many members without boats travel by car (land yachts) to join in with the social side of the sailing programme.
For those who wish to race, club races are incorporated into some of the cruises. For keen racers we are members of the BJRC (Blackwater Joint Racing Committee), giving the opportunity to compete with members of other clubs.
Cruises, races and other events are listed in our Sailing Programme. Further details are sent out by the Cruising Captain, by email and on posters in the Club bar closer to the time of each event.
