2026 Row Race In Aid of RNLI - Update

West Mersea Lifeboat "Just George" and the Winners of the 2025 Fancy Dress Competition the Team from Maldon Little Ship Club
Thank you to all who have helped to make this year's Row Race such a success for the club.
The club was packed with people who have had a thrilling and fun day on the water - despite the challenging weather!
More significantly over £7000 was raised in sponsorship for the RNLI, which is a great result given that we only held the last race 9 months ago!!
I'd like to say a special thank you to Trevor Holder and Debbie Grafton for organising today; to Pete Newton for being Officer of the Day; to Patrick Ellum & Bob Faulks for working out the handicaps; to Michelle C and all her team for running the administrative side; to Colin Wilson and his crew for being committee boat; to every boat that bobbed around in the wind, providing safe escort to our participants; to Dave Harris, John R. and Barry Fix for providing the loud bangs; to Tim Lloyd for keeping the commentary running; to John Driver and Stephen Nunn for presenting the awards; to all the marshals, club hosts, bar staff and bucket rattlers; to Sue Woods and her family for keeping us fed and watered; to John and Di for coming up with a winning formula!
It's a very important day in the club's year, because we host something that is significant in Maldon's calendar.
We did ourselves proud today!
