It has been some time since I have had the opportunity to write to you with some good news. And what a turbulent time it has been for us all. I have seen the odd member whilst working within the clubhouse however.
As you know the clubhouse and bar are currently closed according to Covid-19 rules. In the meantime a lot of effort has gone into making all areas of the clubhouse Covid-19 safe, addressing social distancing, sanitation and seating arrangements. We will make an announcement via email to all members regarding our first steps towards re-opening the bar as soon we are sure it is safe to do so under the Covid-19 restrictions.
The relevant section of The current government Covid-19 response Spring 2021 published 22nd February 2021 is summarised below.
Step 3 not before 17th May depending on government clarification closer to the date would we be allowed to re-open the Clubhouse Bar and restrictions would still be in place.. The rule of 6 or 2 households would still apply but we would not have to serve a substantial meal, nor would there be a curfew. You will however have to book a table, order, eat and or drink while seated. The usual precautions upon entry into the clubhouse i.e hand sanitising, booking in and the wearing of face masks until you are seated would still apply. These restrictions stay in place until the government review in June.
I Know this all sounds a bit daunting but just think you would be able to have your favourite pint or tipple served by your favourite bar team in your favourite location.
