July Update - Bar & Rowing Boat
Published 16:05 on 29 Jul 2020
As advised in my previous email, Steve and the bar team have been working to enable our clubhouse bar to re-open in a Covid safe way, and I'm now pleased to be able to announce that the bar will be open for the first time on Saturday 1st August.
From 1st August the bar will resume its previous opening times of:
- Sat 11:00 18:00
- Sun 11:00 18:00
- Wed 18:00 24:00
- Thu 18:00 24:00
- Fri 18:00 24:00
These opening times will be reviewed and adjusted if necessary, to match demand.
To manage the number of folks in the bar and ensure that everyone has a seat at a table, it will be necessary for you to phone the Club to book a table in advance of attending.
The Club phone number is 01621 854139 and will be answered during bar opening times.
Each table should be occupied by up to two households or persons within a support bubble, and standing at the bar is only permitted for ordering and receiving drinks / food one person at the bar at a time.
Sanitising stations are located just inside both doors and at the main door there is a log-book that you will need to complete for Covid track & trace compliance.
I'm also pleased to announce that the MLSC rowing boat is now available for members to use.
The red rowing boat is moored alongside the MGRC (gig club) pontoon to the rear of the Queens Head pub, and can be used by 2 to 4 persons in households / support bubbles in accordance with Covid guidance.
In the first instance, please contact Jo Fawkes to book use of the rowing boat by using the email address 'firstname.lastname@example.org'. Jo will be able to brief you on safety requirements and use of the rowing boat, and also introduce you to the TeamApp that will be used for ongoing booking and communications regarding the rowing boat.
We look forward to seeing you at the Club or on the water soon.
