The Maldon Little Ship Club, which was founded in 1927, is run by a representative committee of Members for all those who have a common interest in Sailing and the Sea.

The club members have a wide variety of boats which are berthed in Maldon & various other locations around the East Coast. Some members boats
The club organises a very comprehensive racing programme during the Summer months and is a member of the Blackwater Joint Racing Committee as well as the East Anglian Offshore Racing Association.
For the cruising members we have a cruising programme which embraces cruises to local clubs and marina's as well as cruises, in company, to France, Belgium and Holland.
The club takes an active role in supporting the Maldon Town Regatta and the Maldon Thames Barge Match and each year organises the sponsored row in support of the RNLI - over £95,000 has been raised in the last 11 years.
Support to other local charities is also given.
Visiting yachtsman are always welcome.
The club is also a member of The Blackwater & Colne Sailing Protection Association (BACSPA)
There is a very varied social programme arranged during the winter period with events such as the more formal Laying Up and Fitting Out dinners and informal events such as Suppers, Quiz Nights, Speaker Nights, Wine Tastings, Theme Evenings etc.
The club is registered as a RYA training establishment with RYA courses running throughout the winter period.
